Jar'Edo Wens' Warning
This artifact is a wedge of stone with a length of about 1.5 feet and a rounded edge about 1.3 feet. It appears to have been an ornamental decoration, perhaps a marking stone or a section of cave wall that was removed. The stone is painted with curious line and dot drawings of a man facing a crowd of men who seem to want something from him. Thew single man is larger and taller than the other men and holds something behind his back that seems to be shining or radiating power. It would appear that the scene is an Australian Aboriginal painting of the god Jar’Edo Wens holding back some type of knowledge from humanity, likely for their protection. Curious markings along the slanting sides seem to be parts of some type of symbols, writing perhaps, but not like the rest of the piece.
This stone was stolen from Malcolm Thale Fine Art on the night that the building housing the art gallery was torched and one of the gallery salesmen was killed. Later, this stone was stolen again from Valhalla.
